Rest In Power Nujabes

Smooth, Jazzy, Moving, Penetrating, Motivating, Spiritual, this words can all describe Nujabes music
for me, thank you Nujabes for your music, R.I.P.

Jun Seba (瀬場潤 Seba Jun?, February 7, 1974 – February 26, 2010) was a Japanese hip hop producer and DJ who recorded under the name Nujabes(ヌジャベス Nujabesu?), the reverse spelling of his name in Japanese order. Nujabes was also owner of the Shibuya record stores, T Records and Guinness Records and founder of the independent label Hydeout Productions.
In addition to Japanese artists like Uyama HirotoShing02 and Minmi, Nujabes collaborated with Nitish underground American hip hop acts CYNE, Cise Starr (as a solo apart from the hiphop collective CYNE), Apani BFive DeezSubstantialCL SmoothTerry Callier, as well as British rapper Funky DL. He was also a member of the production duo Urbanforest, an experimental collaboration with Nao T.[1]Nujabes was one of the most prolific contributors to the background music and soundtracks of Samurai Champloo, an anime which blends a feudal Japan setting with modern anachronisms, especially in regard to hip hop culture.[2]Nujabes is also very respected within the bboying (breakdance) community, as many of his rhythmic melodies and recording are used as break-beats.
A distinguishing feature of Nujabes' sound is his incorporation of Jazz samples in his tunes. For an example, the track "The Final View" on his album Metaphorical Music features the Jazz Standard "Love Theme From Spartacus" by Pianist Barry Harris, as played by Saxophonist Yusef Lateef, sampled over the track. Nujabes incorporates Lateef's head melody on oboe, cuts of his solos, and background piano comping in his piece.
On February 26, 2010, Jun Seba was involved in a traffic accident upon exiting the Shuto Expressway late at night. He died at a hospital in Shibuya Ward after failed efforts to revive him. He was 36 years old. There was a private burial with only family in attendance. Hydeout Productions has stated that Nujabes has left behind tracks which were released in the posthumous album Spiritual State.

Support: Erick Arc Elliott (Flatbush Zombies) - Almost Remembered

"In this new era, everybody's getting shelved, and it's partly 'cause nobody wants to try to be themselves."- Erick Arc Elliott
Erick Arc Elliott is a passionate and ambitious artist, rapper, producer, songwriter, and musician that hails from the Flatbush area of Brooklyn, New York.
With influences that include Wu-Tang, John Lennon, Jay-Z, Gil Scott Heron, and System of a Down, it's no surprise that Erick's music is as diverse and organic as he is. Utilizing various tools such as vintage synthesizers, lush pads, ambient chords, and a digital piano identical to those used by Herbie Hancock, Phil Collins, and The Beastie Boys in the 80s, Erick is able to create music that is inspired by and pays homage to his influences, while allowing him to simultaneously express his own unique identity.
Having independently released three solo albums, Erick enjoys an international fan base. His latest effort, Almost Remembered, has earned positive reviews worldwide, including a feature in MTV UK's "The Wrap Up."
To contribute to an already broad musical palette, Erick also makes up one-third of the rap group, Flatbush Zombies, and is the sole producer for the group. The video for their recent hit, "Thug Waffle," became an instant Internet sensation, garnering over 3,000 views in just 24 hours.
Prior to the success with the Flatbush Zombies, Erick also co-produced a song entitled "Family Matters," a b-side cut on the exclusive bonus disc for Columbia Records duo, Cults. The release sold only in the UK for a limited-time only.
Whether it's through his lyrics, his performances, or his production, Erick wants his music to touch listeners at their core – invoking enthusiastic cries of, "It's been awhile since I heard sh** like this!"
